What makes a Vonderly card different.
Most greeting cards are printed by the thousand and read once. A Vonderly card is hand-quilled, and the whole design is built from rolled and shaped paper, placed by hand. No single artisan builds a card alone. A team of specialists in our Jaffna studio each work the techniques they know best, from fine line placement to coiling to scrollwork. The result is a card with raised, three-dimensional paper art that holds up well enough to frame.

Are these cards really handmade?
Yes, every card is hand-quilled in our Jaffna studio. Each quilled element is shaped, glued, and placed by hand. Some cards carry a small printed wish on the cover top, which we always state on the product page.
How long does it take to make one card?
About two hours. Each card passes through two to three specialists in our Jaffna studio, each working the technique they do best, so no single person builds one alone.
What size are the cards and what packaging do they ship in?
Every card is 5 x 5 inches and ships as a package in a rigid kraft box, never as loose letter mail, so the raised quilling stays protected in transit.
Can I write my own message inside?
Yes. The inside is always blank, so the message is yours to write. Some designs add a small printed wish on the cover top, which is noted on the product page.
Are these cards suitable for framing?
Yes. Every card is 5 x 5 inches and fits standard frames, and the raised quilling holds real depth behind glass. A shadow box frame gives the elements the most room, kept out of direct sunlight.
How long does shipping to the US take?
Three options ship from Jaffna, Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka Post standard takes 3 to 4 weeks, EMS Speed Post takes 10 to 14 working days, and DHL Express takes 5 to 7 working days. EMS and DHL carry an additional charge, shown at checkout.
