The quilling paper
Every petal, coil, and letter is cut from color paper and shaped by hand. The color runs through the sheet itself, so a card reads the same at arm's length and up close, edge and surface alike.

The card base
A five-by-five-inch square of 300gsm specialty card stock. The weight carries the raised relief without bowing, stands upright on a shelf or mantel, and keeps its shape through a journey of thousands of miles.

The adhesive
A water-based adhesive that is non-toxic and solvent-free. It dries clear and holds each coil in place for years, which is what lets a finished card be framed and kept.

The printed wish
Some designs carry a single printed wish on the cover top, set in calligraphic script beside the quilled design. Beneath every design sits a faint guide line, printed and then fully covered as the card is built.

The envelope and box
Each card ships with a kraft envelope inside a front-opening kraft board gift box. The box is part of the gift: it opens like a case, presents the card face on, and stores it between displays.

The protective sleeve
A thin film sleeve keeps the card crisp and dry inside the box on its way from Jaffna to your door. It slips off in a second and can be reused to store the card.
