Coffee Cup is a handmade quilled coffee greeting card, a gold cup with a spiraled brown surface and two small red hearts rising above the rim. "Brewed with Love!" is printed across the top in black script, so it suits a partner, a parent, or the friend you have met every Saturday for a decade.

The design
The cup is husked, loops shaped over pins in graduated lengths so the bowl widens evenly from base to rim. The coffee is one strip wound flat into an oval, which is why it reads as a surface rather than a shape. A cream liner sits between the rim and the brew.

The moment
A coffee card is the one people put on a desk rather than in a drawer, which is where it does its work. Send it for Valentine's Day if you want, though it lands better on a random Wednesday, to the person whose order you already know.

I do the coils and most of the leaves on our cards. The coils have to be the same size all the way through. If one is wrong, you can see it on the finished card. The leaves I shape on a comb, that is how they get their curve. This part of the work I am fastest at, because I have done it the longest.

What is paper quilling?
Paper quilling is the art of rolling, shaping and arranging narrow strips of paper to create raised designs. On Vonderly cards, each visible quilled element is shaped and placed by hand rather than printed.
How long does it take to make a Vonderly card?
A Vonderly card typically takes around 90 minutes of handwork. Different parts may pass through specialist hands for shaping, detailing and assembly before the finished card is checked and packed.
What comes with each card?
Each card measures 5 × 5 inches, is blank inside for your own message, and comes with a 5.25 × 5.25-inch kraft envelope.
What if my card arrives damaged?
We replace it at no cost, and you keep the original. Email hello@vonderly.com within 30 days of delivery with a photo, and we ship a replacement or issue a refund. There is nothing to send back.
