Questions
Things people ask.
01. Are these cards really handmade?
Yes, every card is hand quilled in our Jaffna studio.
Each visible quilled element is shaped, glued and placed by hand. Some cards carry a small printed wish on the cover top, which we always state on the product page.
02. How long does it take to make one card?
Roughly 120 minutes per card on average.
Two to three specialist artisans contribute to each one, each working the element they are trained in. More intricate designs take longer; the exact time is documented on each product page.
03. What size are the cards and what packaging do they ship in?
Every card is 5 by 5 inches, built on 300gsm card stock.
Direct-to-consumer orders ship in a front-opening rigid kraft box that protects the quilling in transit. Wholesale orders ship in 5-card kraft boxes.
04. Can I write my own message inside?
Yes. The inside of every card is left blank, ready for your words.
Some designs carry a small printed wish on the cover top in calligraphic script, which is always stated on the product page.
05. Are these cards suitable for framing?
Yes. Each card is 5 by 5 inches, sized to fit a standard square frame.
The 300gsm stock holds its shape, and the hand-quilled elements are built to last well beyond the moment of giving.
06. How long does shipping to the US take?
Within the US, standard shipping is 3 to 4 weeks, EMS Speed post is 10 to 14 working days, and express is 5 to 7.
Every card ships from our studio in Jaffna, Sri Lanka.
