Birthdays deserve better than whatever was left on the shelf. Cupcake is a handmade quilled birthday greeting card, with "Happy Birthday!" printed in black script above a piped frosting swirl, a red cherry, and a brown striped wrapper. Choose the frosting in one of five colors.

The design
The frosting is a single swirl built in graduated strips, each one coiled loose at the centre and pinched into a long curve, then set on edge so the piping catches light the way real frosting does. The wrapper is straight strips stood upright in brown and pale lavender. The cherry is one red strip rolled tight from the outside in.

The moment
The one occasion everyone has and nobody escapes. A birthday card gets read once and kept or binned within the week, which is the entire argument for this one: it is an object, so it stays on the shelf until the next one. Pick the frosting to suit the person.

Can I choose the frosting colour on the Cupcake card?
What is paper quilling?
Paper quilling is the art of rolling, shaping and arranging narrow strips of paper to create raised designs. On Vonderly cards, each visible quilled element is shaped and placed by hand rather than printed.
How long does it take to make a Vonderly card?
A Vonderly card typically takes around 90 minutes of handwork. Different parts may pass through specialist hands for shaping, detailing and assembly before the finished card is checked and packed.
What comes with each card?
Each card measures 5 × 5 inches, is blank inside for your own message, and comes with a 5.25 × 5.25-inch kraft envelope.
What if my card arrives damaged?
We replace it at no cost, and you keep the original. Email hello@vonderly.com within 30 days of delivery with a photo, and we ship a replacement or issue a refund. There is nothing to send back.
