The design
Every leaf is hollow. A single strip looped back on itself and pinched at both ends, so white card shows through the centre of each one and the ring stays light instead of solid. The bow is the opposite, coiled tight and filled. The berries are single strips rolled small, dropped in red and orange so the ring is not one flat green.

The moment
The Christmas list is mostly obligation, and then there are three or four people you would actually like to send something to. This is for those. It arrives flat in a square envelope, sits on a mantel through December, and goes back in the box in January rather than into the recycling.

Every Vonderly card is built by 2 to 3 specialists working in sequence. The artisan below led the work on this one.
I do the coils and most of the leaves on our cards. The coils have to be the same size all the way through. If one is wrong, you can see it on the finished card. The leaves I shape on a comb, that is how they get their curve. This part of the work I am fastest at, because I have done it the longest.

Paper quilling is the art of rolling, shaping and arranging narrow strips of paper to create raised designs. On Vonderly cards, each visible quilled element is shaped and placed by hand rather than printed.
How long does it take to make a Vonderly card?
A Vonderly card typically takes around 90 minutes of handwork. Different parts may pass through specialist hands for shaping, detailing and assembly before the finished card is checked and packed.
What comes with each card?
Each card measures 5 × 5 inches, is blank inside for your own message, and comes with a 5.25 × 5.25-inch kraft envelope.
What if my card arrives damaged?
We replace it at no cost, and you keep the original. Email hello@vonderly.com within 30 days of delivery with a photo, and we ship a replacement or issue a refund. There is nothing to send back.
