The Graduation Girl is a handmade quilled graduation card for her, built from a deep navy academic gown, a gold tassel, and flowing black hair, each element shaped entirely from hand-rolled and coiled paper strips by a team of specialized artisans. Every visible surface is hand-quilled. This isn't paper art placed on a card. It is the card.

The figure is deliberately faceless, allowing the recipient to see themselves in the moment rather than a fixed character. That choice is the point.

How it's made

The gown, tassel, and hair are each handled by different artisans. From the tightly coiled strips that build the structure of the bodice to the elongated loops that form the sleeves and the fine individual coils of the tassel, each element is owned by the hands best suited to it.

Made by a women-led team in Sri Lanka, in conditions that reflect what skilled craft actually deserves. Each card is made in small batches. Availability shifts throughout the year.

Shipping

Ships from Sri Lanka as a tracked package via Sri Lanka Post (standard) or DHL (expedited, available at checkout). Every order ships flat in a rigid-backed kraft gift box, fully protected for international transit. Every card is inspected before it leaves our studio. If yours arrives damaged, we replace it without question.

On timing

Graduation season peaks between May and July. We recommend ordering early to ensure it arrives in time. For moments that cannot be repeated, DHL expedited is available at checkout.
